Aurora HDR has hit another huge milestone. And this would never have happened without you…
500 000 may not sound big for a mobile app, like Instagram. But for a Mac software, this is an extremely huge milestone! When we launched Aurora HDR together with Trey Ratcliff 7 months ago, we knew we were bringing the best HDR solution to the market. But it’s always a challenge to convince people to actually try a new piece of software and to eventually start using it.
What you have done is mind-blowing and inspiring. I’d like to thank all of you for taking your time and giving Aurora HDR a chance. Today, over 100 000 people use Aurora HDR software every month. And over half a million have downloaded the software. This is unbelievable!
To celebrate 500 000 downloads, we’ve launched two initiatives.
We believe you’ll like them!
The first initiative is for those of you, who are already using Aurora HDR. We’ve partnered with SmugMug, and 4 major photography magazines in UK, USA and Australia to feature your best works on monthly basis.
We call it “The Best HDR Photo” project.
Feel free to submit as many photos as you like. We will publish 4 images every month. The best part: this unique opportunity is open for photographers of all skill levels, no matter where you live or what camera you have.
Another opportunity is for those of you, who don’t use Aurora HDR just yet. I’ll be frank: we want you to switch to Aurora HDR, and let your other HDR software peacefully retire. Together with some really great photographers, we’ve developed a “SWITCH” campaign with a nice discount and bonus offer.
So…what’s next.
The future is bright and we’re inspired. Trey Ratcliff and Skylum are busy working on the 2nd version of Aurora HDR, that we will announce soon. Plus we’re working on the Windows version – we haven’t forgotten. Stay tuned for more updates. And thanks again for using Aurora HDR.
